What is TravelSakha all about?
TravelSakha supports people traveling internationally between any two global airports including India to USA, USA to India, Canada to India, UK to USA, Europe to the Middle East, and beyond. The platform helps elderly travelers and families find trusted companions to make long international journeys easier, safer, and less anxious.

Can senior parents travel alone internationally?
Yes. Navigating boarding gates, immigration queues, and transit airports can be difficult for elderly passengers. TravelSakha helps families connect with co-passengers traveling on the same flight so parents can receive informal support during their journey.

Can TravelSakha be used for USA to India travel?
Yes. TravelSakha supports senior citizens traveling between any two countries such as USA to India, Canada to India, India to UK, or any global route.

Is there any hidden agenda or gain?
Absolutely not. This is a pure act of kindness intended to make elderly parents' international travel more comfortable and less stressful. Please refer to the "About Us" tab to see how it all started.

How does this operate?
Register by submitting your details and verifying your email ID (please check your spam folder for the verification email). Once you are registered, you can fill out the form with your travel details. If your dates are tentative, you can still use the platform. Once you log in, you can view all active requests, although names and contact details are not disclosed. If any of those dates work for you to book a ticket, go ahead and submit your form. When there is a match or a possible match, Team TravelSakha sends an email to the relevant parties with contact information so they can continue the conversation.

A few suggestions for finding a companion:
- Two sets of parents can be each other’s companions.
- A family traveling with children can be a companion to elderly parents, and vice versa.
- Book wheelchair assistance for your parents regardless of whether a companion is found. This helps ensure they are guided properly by airport staff in all situations.
- Set expectations clearly and speak with your companion a few days before departure, so you both recognize each other by face and voice.

I still have questions. What is the solution for me?
No worries. We are here to help. Just submit your information through Contact Us, and your query will be redirected to the admins. We aim to respond within 24-48 hours.

I filled in the form, when will I get to know about my match?
Submitting the form does not guarantee a match. If a match is found, admins will contact you by email within 24-48 hours. If you have not heard from us, it usually means a suitable match has not been found yet. Alternatively, users who log in can review our latest records and contact the admin if they think they can match with someone, or if they are flexible enough to adjust their travel plans.

I received contact details from an admin. Does that guarantee I have a match?
No. We provide a trusted platform for introductions and keep identities private until both sides are ready to connect. However, if someone changes their travel plans and forgets to update their record, we may not be aware of that. In such cases, our ability to help is limited.

What is expected from us if we find a match and we have a good travel experience?
Nothing. We do not expect anything in return, but feedback that encourages others to trust the process is always welcome. If you would like to pay it forward, we support two nonprofit groups: one in the USA and one in India. You are welcome to donate any amount of your choice. If you received an email from us, the information should be included below the signature.
